NOMINEES RULES, REGULATIONS & AGREEMENT
Voting Commencement
- After the nomination process is officially closed, all approved nominees will begin voting at the same time.
- No nominee will be added after the official voting kickoff.
- Once voting begins, the nominee list and categories will remain as officially published.
Voting & Transparency
- No Tukuza Awards official, board member, staff member, partner, or representative will be allowed to vote for or campaign for any individual nominee.
- Voting results will be displayed live within each category, allowing nominees and the public to follow the progress.
- Every nominee is free to mobilize votes through their own networks, including social media platforms, media stations, churches, friends, family, supporters, and other lawful promotional channels.
- Tukuza Awards will not endorse or campaign for any individual nominee.
Number of Categories
- Each nominee may participate in a maximum of two (2) categories.
- One person may win a maximum of two (2) categories.
- Where a nominee participates in two categories, the results will be reviewed separately to determine whether the nominee qualifies for the applicable winner benefits in each category, as provided in this agreement.
Nominee Photos
- The photograph submitted during the nomination process will be used throughout the voting and awards process.
- If a nominee wishes to change their official photograph after submission, a KSh 200 photo-change fee will apply.
- Nominees are encouraged to submit a clear, high-quality photograph during nomination.
Nominee Campaign Style
- Tukuza Awards allows nominees to use their own campaign styles and strategies.
- Nominees may promote their nominations through social media, media stations, churches, friends, family, supporters, and other appropriate platforms.
- All campaigns must remain respectful, lawful, truthful, and consistent with the values of Tukuza Awards.
Closing of Voting
- Voting will close on the officially announced final voting day at 12:00 midnight (00:00).
- Once the voting period closes, no additional votes will be accepted.
- Final results will be determined from the official Tukuza Awards voting system.
TUKUZA AWARDS 2026 WINNER BENEFITS
All Top Winners will receive their trophies on the Gala Day. The names of the Top Winners will be announced on the Gala Day as they come forward to receive their trophies on stage. 🏆✨
🥇 1st Runner-Up and 🥈 2nd Runner-Up will also be called on stage during the Gala Day to receive their certificates in recognition of their outstanding achievement. Additional benefits will be based on the final number of verified votes received:
Nominees who attain 5,000 votes or more will receive:
- Three days fully paid holiday/tour package
- Tukuza Awards will cover the applicable holiday/tour costs and transportation.
Nominees who attain between 3,000 and 4,999 votes will receive:
- Two days holiday/tour packages
- Tukuza Awards will cover the holiday/tour costs.
- Transportation to and from the destination will be the responsibility of the nominee.
Nominees who attain between 1,000 and 2,999 votes will receive:
- One high-quality professional music video production for one of their songs.
Nominees who attain between 600 and 999 votes will receive:
- A shopping voucher as a recognition gift.
Exciting news for groups! 🎉
If a group receives 5,000 votes or more, two leaders of that group will receive:
- A fully paid 2-day holiday
- Two music video productions for the group’s songs
Additional Gifts & Surprises
Tukuza Awards reserves the right to introduce additional gifts, opportunities, partnerships, or surprise benefits during the 2026 awards journey.
Where additional benefits are secured, Tukuza Awards may prioritize nominees who have achieved 4,000 votes and above, depending on the nature and availability of the additional gift or opportunity.
Two-Category Nominees
Where a nominee is competing in two categories, Tukuza Awards will review the final results in both categories.
The nominee will only receive benefits according to the official eligibility rules and the final verified voting results. A nominee shall not automatically receive duplicate benefits unless Tukuza Awards officially announces that the specific benefit applies separately to both categories.
Acceptance of the Agreement
By accepting nomination and participating in Tukuza Awards 2026, every nominee agrees to comply with these rules and regulations.
Tukuza Awards reserves the right to take appropriate action against any nominee who violates the rules, attempts to manipulate the voting process, submits false information, or engages in conduct that compromises the integrity of the awards.
